SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER - GEOTECHNICAL
CHANTILLY, VA
A well-established, multi-disciplined engineering firm is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join its growing Geotechnical team in Chantilly, VA . This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide range of projects in the Northern Virginia region and collaborate with a respected network of professionals across multiple disciplines including geostructural engineering, environmental consulting, construction materials testing, and special inspections.
Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as Special Inspection Engineer of Record for projects across Fairfax, Arlington, Alexandria, Loudoun, Falls Church, and Prince William counties.
• Provide geotechnical and technical support to Construction Materials Testing project managers.
• Conduct site visits, attend progress meetings, and prepare technical reports and field documentation.
• Assist in proposal preparation, cost estimating, and developing specifications and plans.
• Support geotechnical and cross-functional departments as needed.
• Maintain high standards of service, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Uphold and promote company and site safety protocols.

Requirements:

• S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (M.S. preferred)
• Minimum 10 years' experience in geotechnical engineering or construction materials testing
• E. License Required:
• Familiarity with Northern Virginia special inspection programs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally and regionally
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied field conditions
