The Vehicle Component Solutions (VS) Company focuses on commercializing environmentally responsible automotive components and core solutions based on proprietary technologies. As a leading provider of core components for global car manufacturers, the VS Company supports the emerging trends in the vehicle industry.
Responsibilities:
As a Validation Engineer, you will:
  • Perform validation testing for telematics and infotainment products using test benches and in-vehicle environments.
  • Execute Sanity testing, address updated specifications, investigate customer-reported issues, and complete full test cases based on assigned responsibilities.
  • Analyze test results to determine if products meet performance and specification requirements.
  • Create and maintain detailed test cases aligned with product requirements and updates.
  • Utilize defect tracking systems to document, report, and monitor software and hardware issues.
  • Set up and maintain test benches, including software updates and hardware configurations.
  • Conduct field testing and joint testing with OEM partners to ensure system functionality and compliance.
  • Provide technical support to OEMs, including flashing modules, configuring test environments, conducting drive tests, and responding to issue reports.
  • Collaborate closely with global teams, including counterparts in Korea and other regions, to exchange technical information and troubleshoot product concerns.
  • Coordinate with regional and global R&D teams to ensure effective issue resolution and product improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support validation and project objectives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience such as an associate's degree in a related field with a minimum of two years of relevant automotive validation experience
  • Ability to travel (Domestic & International): Up to 30%
  • Knowledge of:
    • Test bench and vehicle setup
    • In-car infotainment systems technologies
    • Specifications and ability to analyze test results
    • Process on how to create test cases with the appropriate test case structure
    • How to interface with the bug tracking system
    • Vehicle communication protocols
  • Ability to:
    • Learn and adapt to new software and hardware tools and technologies
    • Work across multiple disciplines (systems, embedded, server, wireless carriers, testing
    • Recognize and mitigate both technical and organizational challenges
    • Sit in/drive test vehicle for up to 3 hours at a time for testing
    • Lift/Setup benches weighing up to 30lbs
  • Desire to learn constantly and dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies
  • Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
