We seek a Job Captain to work closely with internal and extended project teams on all aspects of design, development, construction documents, construction, and project administration. Position Overview: The job captain is responsible for producing design, permitting, and construction document packages; coordinating details and documents with the project team under the direction of the project architect. Additional duties include: Working in a team environment and collaborating across all design phases. Reporting progress and issues to project leads. Assisting with construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and resolving construction issues both in-office and in the field. Ensuring the team stays on schedule and that schematics conform to project requirements. Developing presentation materials for design and marketing efforts. Supporting tasks necessary for successful project completion. Managing junior staff if applicable. EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED
We understand not all candidates will have all experience, but the ideal candidate will have: Five to seven years of professional, post-graduate experience, on the licensure track. Licensure is a plus. Strong design skills and the ability to lead production teams from design through construction documents. Excellent CAD / BIM skills; proficiency in SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; ArchiCAD experience preferred; Revit experience a plus. Multi-family housing experience is advantageous. Supervisory and mentoring skills are beneficial. Strong communication skills, with constant interaction with team members, clients, consultants, and contractors. Ambitious, well-organized, deadline-oriented, and self-motivated. EDUCATION / CREDENTIALS
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or related field. California Architectural license preferred or on licensure track. REWARDS / BENEFITS / COMPENSATION
