Description You will be responsible for leading, coaching, and growing a team of technical senior designers working on new software products for Vision Pro and our partners.Leading design efforts for new products, from concept & prototype through to finalized design specsBalancing complexity with ease of use for a range of customers, including professionalsCreating and maintaining a culture of innovation through safety, care, and respect for each other, our partners, and our customersManaging cross-functional relationships with engineering, program, and other partnersThis position requires skilled creative leadership to deliver projects under tight deadlines and with input from many senior-level stakeholders. People-first leadership skills are a must, as well as composure under pressure, problem solving, attention to detail, and the ability to mediate and cope with rapid change. Above all, the role requires a dedicated individual who understands Apple’s high standards and design aesthetic to the core. This involves maintaining a high level of visual quality, ensuring all designs are functional, comprehensive, and align with Apple's design standards.
Minimum Qualifications
A portfolio of work showcasing excellence in product design leadership, creative problem solving, and the ability to bring out the best in teams. A commitment to upholding the principles of transparency, privacy, and trust while supporting business goals. 9+ years experience in spatial design, 3d game development, film/vfx production, or other interactive 3d software industry Curious, flexible team player, with extensive previous experience working within a cross-functional team Outstanding ability to develop and communicate strategy and vision to designers, engineers, product managers, and executive leadership through writing, visuals, and presentations. Demonstrable experience communicating complex concepts and designs ideas through sketches, wireframes, high fidelity comps, and prototypes. Proficiency in using Sketch, Figma, Photoshop, Keynote, and similar tools. Proven track record of solving complex interaction problems across multiple platforms. Familiarity with inclusive design and accessibility, and a desire to learn more. Flexibility and comfort with ambiguity and change. Deep experience in emerging technologies, taking products from 0 to 1. Experienced creating products in R&D/Incubation and taking them through to first customer ship. Have managed a range of roles/disciplines before, including technical designers and/or artists, visual/UX/motion/product design, prototypers, researchers Working knowledge of Vision Pro or similar products Previous experience shipping product to a range of end customers (consumers and professionals) At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $198,300 and $342,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
