Join us as the Supervisor of OR Materials Management at Vail Health, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting our perioperative services! You will analyze data to optimize stock levels, ensuring our daily operations run smoothly. As a leader, you will supervise a dedicated team that provides essential supply support to our perioperative staff. Your keen attention to detail and exceptional analytical skills will shine as you collaborate with key operational stakeholders and the Supply Chain on exciting improvement efforts and cost-reduction initiatives. You will lead department-specific projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and reducing costs for our organization. Plus, you will ensure that our inventory control policies and procedures are implemented flawlessly, all while working closely with clinical staff to deliver outstanding patient care. What you will do:
Take charge of day-to-day accountability for supply inventories, monitoring volumes, flow, and sourcing. Analyze product usage and oversee all adjustments to par levels and supply locations. Lead and inspire your team, monitoring productivity and organizing workflow to ensure everyone understands and excels in their roles. Set work schedules, maintain task sheets, resolve personnel issues, and provide constructive feedback and coaching. Utilize reports and data analytics to proactively anticipate supply needs, making independent decisions regarding supply shortages. Keep supply chain management informed and communicate any potential interruptions to perioperative team leaders. Coordinate the receipt of deliveries, reconcile receipts against purchase orders, and address any issues with invoices. Review reports to identify and resolve pricing or quantity discrepancies. Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies regarding proper storage and delivery of supplies, including managing recalled or suspended inventory products. Work closely with perioperative and clinical staff, taking personal responsibility for customer satisfaction and service excellence. Collaborate with Supply Chain leadership to develop and implement system-wide standardized inventory control and cycle counting strategies, ensuring appropriate financial controls and management. Organize multiple projects and schedules to meet demand and adapt to shifting priorities, performing challenging tasks efficiently and effectively. Embrace and communicate continuous process improvement strategies (e.g., Lean methodology) to all staff, promoting the strategic vision and goals of Vail Health and the Materials Management Department. Be a role model for the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.
