Our Client, a European Bank with a strong presence in Asia is looking to expand their business in North America. Due to the expansion, they are looking for a Business Manager to join their West Coast office in California. The Business Manager/COO will be responsible for overseeing the bank’s daily operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and supporting the CEO in the execution of business plans. This role requires strong Organizing skills, leadership, operational expertise, and a deep understanding of the banking industry. Responsibilities: Working closely with CEO in overseeing the banks’s daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all banking functions. Collaborate with the CEO and other business heads or brand manager to develop and implement strategic plans that drive growth and profitability. Lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Analyze operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions. Ensure business compliance with regulatory requirements and implement risk management frameworks. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders externally and internally, including regulators, customers, and partners. Oversee major projects and initiatives, ensuring they align with the bank’s strategic objectives. Assist in budgeting and financial planning, monitoring financial performance against targets. Qualifications: MUST be currently a US Citizen Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred. Minimum of 10 years of Business Management or COO experience in a leadership role within the banking or financial services industry. Strong understanding of banking operations, regulatory requirements, and risk management. Proven ability to lead teams and manage cross‑functional projects. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
