Data Scientist
The Opportunity: As a Data Scientist on our team, you will be part of supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) client with analyzing structured data sets, building data structures, and manipulating data for ingestion and within a big data platform in support of their mission. You will c ond uct analyses using data in the BDP, assess results, draw insightful conclusions, and build dashboards using a variety of tools to tell the story. You will be a part of a cross-functional Data Analytics Team supporting a variety of teams aimed at assessing risks to DoD systems, missions, and plans. You Have: 5+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization,ormachine learning
5+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis
5+ years of experience analyzing structuredorunstructured data sources
Experience working within the Army Data Platform Vantage
Experience developing data visualizations, dashboards, or lightweight web applications to communicate key insights
Ability to communicate with government clients, contractors, and mission partners to provide a shared understanding of complex data analysis
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have: Experience working with headquarters-level organizations in the DoD
Experience in the development of algorithms leveraging R, Python, or PostgreSQL
Experience with Big Data architecture platforms and extracting information from disparate data sources, then merging them together for analysis
Knowledge of advanced machine learning capabilities, including gradient boosting, random forests, or convolutional neural networks
Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including employing the right approach and methods to maximize use of time and human resources
Master’s degree

The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
