Scope of Position
Our client is seeking a skilled industrial maintenance electrician to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems across the facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, solid troubleshooting capabilities, and a commitment to safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to diagnose electrical problems and plan installations. Install, repair, or replace electrical components, including wiring, switch boxes, lighting systems, conduit, motors, sensors, and control panels. Test electrical systems and components for continuity, voltage, current, and resistance using appropriate tools and equipment. Maintain and service transformers, switchgear, regulators, and industrial instrumentation. Support and train production personnel on basic equipment operation and maintenance practices. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, electrical codes, GMP, and company policies. Maintain accurate records of repairs, installations, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks. Participate in ongoing training and cross-functional collaboration to improve systems and reduce downtime. Perform other related duties as assigned. Limited travel may be required. Qualifications
Associate degree in Electrical or related technical field preferred. 5+ years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Electrician in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, including motors, PLCs, VFDs, and instrumentation. Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals. Must be able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced production environment. Excellent communication skills and a strong team-oriented mindset. Proficient in basic computer skills and maintenance software.
