DescriptionUGM is excited to welcome you to apply to join the team at our new Lewiston Shelter. As we are in the process of completing the building in order to "move in" and open for services we anticipate our hiring process to follow a bit of a different schedule for interviewing, hiring, training, etc. than normal. We will conduct initial interviews via Zoom starting August 4th and running through August 22nd. From the date of the initial interview through August 29th we will decide who we will be passing along for a second interview and checking their references, etc. Second interviews will be scheduled to take place in Lewiston between August 25 - September 5th. Decisions on hiring will be made and offers sent out to qualified candidates between September 15 th-26th. Summary of PositionThe Warehouse Service Coordinator manages the LC?Valley Shelter's food and material-donation, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, rotation, and distribution of goods that support men, women, and families in shelter programs. The role supervises volunteers, maintains safety and compliance standards, collaborates with kitchen and program teams, and nurtures relationships with donors and community partners. Key Result Area #1 Warehouse Operations & InventoryOversee day-to-day warehouse workflow, layout, and cleanlinessDevelop and maintain systems for receiving, inspecting, storing, rotating, and issuing food and non-food itemsMaintain accurate digital inventory (e.g., Link2Feed/Virtuous, Excel) for audit and planning purposesCoordinate daily pulls for kitchen and program needs; ensure first-in/first-out rotationUphold Idaho food-safety standards and UGM policies; keep current DOT medical card, forklift, and food-handler certificationsSubmit and track maintenance and equipment service requests Key Result Area #2 Donor & Partner RelationsSchedule and complete donor pick-ups (Idaho Food Bank, grocery stores, local farms, etc.) and deliveries with a spirit of gratitude and professionalismRecord Gift-in-Kind values monthly and report to In-Kind Resources DirectorCultivate positive relationships with food banks and local agencies; participate in community networking meetings as assigned Key Result Area #3 Volunteer & Team LeadershipRecruit, train, schedule, and supervise warehouse volunteers and resident volunteersProvide clear job descriptions, safety orientation, and ongoing coachingEnsure volunteers log hours in VOMO and practice UGM Core ValuesHold brief "huddle" meetings to cast vision, review goals, and pray with the teamSupervise guests assigned to warehouse work-therapy, document hours and performance in WaypointCollaborate with Client Services teams to set goals and provide skill development Key Result Area #4 Administration & ComplianceOperate within approved budget; submit invoices, fuel logs, and credit-card receipts weeklyPrepare monthly statistics and KPI reports for Shelter LeadershipMaintain SOP manuals, safety binders, and training recordsKeep warehouse vehicles clean, fueled, and scheduled for preventive maintenanceSupport major ministry events with logistics, supplies, and transport as needed Other Duties:This job description is not intended to be exhaustive. Grounded in the Christian faith as a mature, active member of the body of Christ. Initial interviews will be set up and conducted via Zoom between August 4-22, 2025.Qualified candidates' credentials will be checked via references (personal, work and spiritual) between their initial interview date and August 29, 2025. Additionally, those candidates will be asked to complete a communication survey tool we use in our hiring process known as the Kendall Life Language Profile (KLLP).Second round of interviews will be in person interviews and will be scheduled between August 25 - September 5th, 2025, in Lewiston. Selected candidates will receive their offer letter between September 15-26, 2025. Onboarding will take place on October 5, 2025, in Lewiston (location TBD).All new employees will be required to travel to Spokane, WA to attend training October 13, 14 & 15, 2025. The first month of employment will be assisting in the set-up process of the building to help make certain the building is ready to be occupied mid-November (specific date still to be determined).
