You will also be responsible for operating and maintaining our world class environmental test lab to ensure its equipment and facilities are always ready to support mission critical test campaigns.RoleExecute environmental tests using equipment such as electrodynamic shakers, thermal vacuum chambers, thermal cycling chambers, etcUtilize a wide range of test equipment and data acquisition systems, including building and maintaining specialized test setupsPerform tests and verifications of flight hardware to test requirements, documenting results in a clear, precise and complete manner to meet product quality standardsResponsible for maintenance and calibration activities of test equipmentInterpret drawings, specifications, assembly procedures, test procedures, etc.Support engineering troubleshooting and root cause investigationsAssist with area efficiency and 5S improvement projectsUse mechanical hand tools and torque wrenches for various test setupsRequirements2+ years of working experience in a test, manufacturing, or production environmentStrong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skillsAble to lift 25 lbs, unassistedMust be willing to work all shifts, overtime and/or weekends as needed, including support of 24/7 operations for critical test campaignsDuring mission critical operations, shifts can reach up to 12 hoursShift Start Times:1st shift - 6:00am2nd shift - 3:30pmBonusExperience with thermal, TVAC, vibration, shock, or acoustic testingExperience with space flight components and spacecraft environmental testingExperience in operating cranes, man lifts, forklifts, and handling equipmentWhat we offer: All our positions offer a compensation package that includes equity and robust benefits.Base pay is a single component of Astranis's total rewards package, which may also include equity in the form of incentive stock options, high quality company-subsidized healthcare, disability and life insurance benefits, flexible PTO, 401(K) retirement, and free on-site catered meals.Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources.
