Job Title: Linux Administrator with VMware Experience
Duration: Contract-to-Hire (6 months to Hire)
Location: Monroe / Detroit, MI (Hybrid)
Job Description:
Client is seeking a skilled Linux Administrator with VMware experience to join their IT infrastructure team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the intention of converting the right candidate to a full-time position within 6 to 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage, maintain, and support Linux server environments. Deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines using VMware. Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability. Implement and maintain system security policies and procedures. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues. Support upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance.
Required Qualifications:
2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in Linux systems administration. Solid experience working with VMware (ESXi, vCenter). Understanding of system and network performance tuning. Familiarity with backup and recovery tools. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Additional Information:
This role is hybrid, with expectations to work onsite in Monroe or Detroit, MI as needed. This is a W2 position only; sponsorship is not available.
