Position: Entry-Level Programmer

Locally funded government agency seeks to fill the position of entry-level programmer. This position is responsible for assisting in the development and support of various criminal justice applications used by local law enforcement, jails, and courts. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Collaborating with senior developers and team members to assist in developing new coding requests for existing applications. Analyzing and debugging trouble reports of existing applications. Conducting in-depth testing and documenting all coding implementations prior to production deployment. Providing regular updates to the project manager on progress.

The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) is a government-funded agency established under ORC 167.01-08 and 181.54 (amended to 5502.64) to provide planning, analysis, training, information management, and technical assistance in Toledo, OH, Lucas County. NORIS, a division within CJCC, provides information management and technology to criminal justice agencies in Northwest Ohio. Position Description:

NORIS is seeking an entry-level programmer to assist in the development and maintenance of applications critical to criminal justice agencies in Northwest Ohio. The goal is to ensure these applications are streamlined and efficient, allowing staff to focus on their essential tasks. Qualifications and Skills: Associate's Degree or higher in Computer Programming or Computer Science Engineering. In-depth understanding of software/programming fundamentals. Basic understanding of databases and operating systems. Willingness to learn new software platforms and technologies quickly. High attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate in business terms with stakeholders.
