Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage the timely, profitable execution of Special Projects HVAC service work, including scheduling manpower, subcontractors, and equipment. Serve as the liaison between Service Sales, Special Projects, and Construction Operations, ensuring clear communication and project alignment. Review and submit all necessary project documentation (submittals, RFIs, permits, lift plans, etc.) to support smooth field operations. Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, safety compliance, quality standards, and productivity. Support the Project Manager with estimating, change orders, equipment tracking, and vendor coordination. Ensure all work adheres to B&I’s quality standards, safety policies, and departmental procedures.
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required. 2–5 years of HVAC Service or Project Engineering experience in a mechanical contracting environment. OSHA 30 Certification (within the last 5 years). Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while staying organized and proactive. Must be a strong team player and detail-oriented problem-solver.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to see well (either naturally or with correction). Able to walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, climb stairs/ladders, and lift up to 20 lbs. Must be able to speak and hear clearly with professionalism in person and over the phone.
Safety Requirements:
Must provide oneself a safe working environment on job sites and in mechanical rooms. Understand and utilize proper PPE for all tasks while maintaining safe work practices.
