Peraton is looking to fill a critical role for an
Applications Programmer
for our Risk Decision Group (RDG). This role is 100% Remote. In this role, you will be responsible for: Creating, modifying, and testing code, forms, and scripts that allow computer applications to run. Developing applications from specifications drawn up by software developers or other individuals. Writing, analyzing, reviewing, and rewriting programs, using workflow charts and diagrams, and applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic. Conducting trial runs of programs and software applications to ensure they produce the desired information and instructions are correct. Performing or directing revisions, repairs, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements. Writing, updating, and maintaining computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs such as tracking inventory, storing, or retrieving data, or controlling other equipment. Consulting with managerial, engineering, and technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes. Performing systems analysis and programming tasks to maintain and control the use of computer systems software as a systems programmer. Assisting software developers by analyzing user needs and designing software solutions. Developing and writing computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information. Exhibiting excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Qualifications Required: 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD Experience supporting and developing custom computer-based applications Willing to learn Angular Willing to learn working with Microsoft .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, and Visual Studio Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret eligible clearance U.S. citizenship Preferred: 5+ years of experience working with Angular 5+ years of experience with Microsoft .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, and Visual Studio 5+ years of experience working with SQL Server 5+ years of experience with Bootstrap UI, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and website design Experience in cloud development Experience with Microsoft DevOps for workload planning and management Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills for applications and databases Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proven leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to work under supervision in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities #RDG Peraton is a next-generation national security company that supports missions of consequence worldwide, delivering trusted solutions and technologies to protect our nation and allies.
