About the position Havarti Risk is looking for an Actuarial Director to join the team. This is a mid-level consultant position requiring candidates to have between 5 to 10 years of experience in a Health Actuarial or Medical Economics role, and to be qualified as a Fellow or Associate of the Society of Actuaries (FSA or ASA). The role involves supporting Havarti's Services, Risk, and Technology lines of business, working closely with the Chief Actuary. Responsibilities include solving business problems through actuarial and data analysis, project management, and stakeholder communication. What you will do As an Actuarial Director at Havarti Risk, you will work on diverse assignments primarily within the Services business unit, including: Building ROI models for health innovators Developing financial or actuarial models for health plans or risk-bearing organizations Reviewing financial/ROI models created by others Creating presentations and reports Supporting project management to ensure quality and timely delivery Analyzing client data to extract insights You may also collaborate with other leadership members on initiatives within the Risk and Technology units. Requirements Education and experience Fellow or Associate of the Society of Actuaries (FSA or ASA) 5-10 years in a Health Actuarial or Medical Economics role Skills and qualifications Knowledge of the healthcare industry Understanding of actuarial principles and processes Proficiency in Excel and statistical programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills Willingness to travel occasionally Adaptability to fast-changing environments Based in Minneapolis, Chicago, Atlanta, Nashville, or Indianapolis Seniority level
