CAM (Mastercam) Application Engineer
MLC CAD Systems is seeking an Application Engineer for our Computer-Aided Manufacturing team.
MLC CAD Systems is the #1 Value-Added Reseller (VAR) of Mastercam (CAM Software), the leader in 3D CAD/CAM technology.
This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals with proven machining and CNC programming experience to provide business solutions for the manufacturing industries, ranging from global, household-name companies to small machine shops.
Proven machining, CNC setup, cutting tools, and controller experience are required; Mastercam experience is preferred.

Seattle (Algona), Washington Position Purpose:
Provide pre- and post-sales support for Mastercam and downstream applications, including machine setup and product benchmarking. Responsibilities include product demonstrations, competitive overviews, training, and customer service. Duties and Responsibilities of CAM (Mastercam) Application Engineer: Conduct pre-sale activities including customer visits, opportunity evaluation, machine assessment, and proposal development. Develop and present product demonstrations and marketing content such as videos. Provide installation, implementation, and best practices techniques. Train customers in the setup and operation of Mastercam and downstream applications. Offer troubleshooting support via phone and web. Maintain in-depth technical knowledge of product lines represented by MLC CAD Systems.
Qualifications & Characteristics of CAM (Mastercam) Application Engineer:
CAM programming experience (Mastercam preferred). Five or more years of experience in CNC applications and manufacturing; ability to program, set up, and operate machines. Five-axis CAM programming experience is essential; Mill-Turn experience is a plus. Strong focus on customer success. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to produce written and video instructions for customers. Comfortable speaking before groups for training and teaching. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Willing to travel regionally and overnight as necessary.
Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary plus performance bonus.
