Position Description Position Overview: As a Senior Leave of Absence (LOA) and Accommodations Administrator, you’ll be at the forefront of managing a wide range of leave of absence and reasonable accommodation requests. This is your chance to combine empathy, attention to detail, and legal expertise to provide timely and accurate support. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with our TMR, Benefits, Payroll, and Health Services teams, ensuring all cases adhere to federal, state, and company policies. This is an on-site position requiring in-person collaboration and support across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Case Oversight:
Independently manage a high-volume caseload encompassing FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA, FEHA, PWFA and company-specific leaves, ensuring timely and accurate processing from intake through return-to-work. Proactively identify case complexities and drive resolution with minimal oversight. Regulatory Mastery & Risk Mitigation:
Interpret and apply federal, state, and local leave regulations with advanced knowledge, ensuring compliance while mitigating risk through expert documentation and case handling. Serve as a subject matter expert for internal partners. Leadership in Cross-Functional Coordination:
Collaborate with internal teams including Payroll, Benefits, Legal, and Health Services, acting as the primary liaison for complex leave and accommodation scenarios. Champion consistent workflows across departments. Advanced Return-to-Work Execution:
Lead the design and execution of thoughtful, compliant return-to-work plans, including ergonomic or temporary accommodations. Partner with managers to coach them through implementation and reintegration strategies. Confidentiality & Data Stewardship:
Maintain meticulous case documentation and ensure absolute confidentiality in alignment with HIPAA and company policy standards. Leverage data insights to recommend process enhancements. Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience. Must have at least three years experience managing leave and accommodation cases. Demonstrated success managing complex leave of absence and workplace accommodation cases across various regulatory frameworks, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA, FEHA, PWFA. Demonstrated ability to interpret, apply, and advise on company policies, procedures, and regulatory updates with clarity and confidence. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word. Demonstrated ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong empathy and active listening skills. Must be a proactive team player with a collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills. Exceptional organization, decision-making, and prioritization skills. Preferred
Experience managing leave and accommodation cases in a healthcare or manufacturing setting. Familiarity with HRIS and case management systems.
