A Platform Security Architect focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining the security of specific platforms such as cloud services, mobile devices, or IoT devices. Basic Functions:
Enhance security team accomplishments and competencies by planning the delivery of solutions and answering technical questions. Plan, research, and design security architecture for IT/SCADA/OT systems. Develop, review, and approve installation requirements for LANs, WANs, VPNs, firewalls, routers, and related network devices. Determine security protocols by evaluating business strategies and requirements. Respond to, investigate, and analyze security incidents thoroughly. Review system security measures and implement necessary enhancements. Conduct regular tests and monitoring of the Metro Enterprise network, security, and integration with OT network. Verify security systems by developing and implementing test scripts. Update job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging security practices and standards, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and engaging in professional organizations. Specialize in SCADA platform and network security, including designing networks meeting functional, performance, and security requirements, preparing procurement specifications, providing initial network configurations, overseeing installation and testing, and developing training materials and sessions. Assist with establishing a Control System Security Program aligned with industry best practices and Metro IT policies and standards. Attend related meetings as requested by Metro. Deliverables include system documentation, technical problem responses, SCADA network design and implementation documents, and training materials. Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
At least 5 years of recent experience supporting secure network design for companies providing mission-critical services. At least 10 years of experience with system operations and administration of networks and network security for mission-critical services companies. Skills:
Knowledge of the latest platform security improvements to meet PCI audits (Palo Alto, GigaStor, Cisco, NetMRI). Additional Information
