As a Full Stack Engineer on the Slideshare team, you will build and maintain both frontend and backend systems that power Slideshares global user experience. You will work on a modern tech stack, implementing features, backend jobs, and infrastructure improvements that support content uploads, storage, analytics, and discoverability. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across React UI and distributed backend services, collaborating with product, design, AI/ML, and infrastructure teams. What Youll Do
Design and develop features using React/Next.js, GraphQL, TypeScript, and Ruby on Rails. Support backend systems for slideshow conversion pipelines and user uploads. Maintain operational excellence through job workers, queues, and APIs. Contribute to UI components aligned with the Slideshare rebrand and design system. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build integrated solutions. Work with product, design, AI/ML, and growth teams on experiments and features. Integrate ML models and LLMs for personalized experiences. Contribute to documentation and onboarding tools, including Storybooks and service readmes. Were Looking For Someone With
Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks, especially React. 3-5 years of full-stack experience, particularly with React, Next.js, and Ruby on Rails. Experience with SQL, Postgres, and MySQL databases. Understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of performance, accessibility, and SEO principles. Strong collaboration skills with design and product teams. Commitment to code quality, maintainability, and documentation. Working at Scribd, Inc.
