About The Position We’re seeking a Data Analyst with a passion for infrastructure systems to support planning, design, and performance tracking across key disciplines including Buildings & Facilities, Signaling, Communications, Civil & Structural, and Power Systems. This is a high-impact role that bridges engineering data and strategic insight, enabling smarter decisions around system integration, asset readiness, and long-term program health. Experience Requirement 5+ YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE IN TRANSIT INDUSTRY IS A REQUIREMENT - PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE. This is a long-term, full-time, onsite position located in Washington DC. Responsibilities: Collect, organize, and manage datasets related to infrastructure design, asset performance, system interfaces, and construction progress. Analyze trends in system readiness, construction sequencing, and infrastructure delivery using advanced analytics and visualization tools. Develop dashboards and reports that help technical and leadership teams monitor progress across multiple system types. Support coordination between disciplines (e.g., electrical, civil, signaling) by analyzing handoff points, interdependencies, and data gaps. Track KPIs related to asset lifecycle, system availability, installation status, and testing milestones. Translate complex engineering data into summaries that support stakeholder briefings and program decision-making. Collaborate with engineering, project controls, and construction teams to align data outputs with technical requirements. Stay current on best practices in infrastructure analytics, systems integration, and capital program data governance. Attributes: Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Systems Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education/experience. 5+ years’ work experience in heavy civil infrastructure project support within the passenger transit industry. Experience working across multiple systems or asset types (e.g., MEP, signaling, comms, structural, power). Ability to communicate technical findings to engineers, construction managers, and executive leadership. Working familiarity with BIM, asset management systems, or CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). Proficient in data analysis using visualization platforms like Power BI or Tableau. Proficient with Python, R, and SQL. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, or Systems Management. Compensation: The salary range is $104k-$150k/year ($50-$72/hr). Final salary depends on experience, skills, education, and certifications.
