Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney to join our team in a fully remote capacity. The ideal candidate will have proven WCAB trial experience, a strong understanding of California workers’ compensation law, and the ability to manage a full caseload independently. This position offers the flexibility of working remotely while collaborating with a supportive legal team committed to providing high-quality defense representation.
Responsibilities: Handle a full caseload of workers’ compensation defense matters from inception through resolution Represent clients in all WCAB proceedings, including trials, conferences, depositions, and hearings Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs Evaluate case value and negotiate settlements Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, and WCAB judges Provide strategic guidance and updates to clients and claims professionals Ensure compliance with legal standards and deadlines
Qualifications: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active and in good standing with the California State Bar Experience in workers’ compensation defense WCAB trial experience is required Excellent litigation, negotiation, and case management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines
