We are seeking a skilled and motivated AWS Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Terraform and a proven track record in the Energy or Utilities domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. This role will play a critical part in optimizing cloud infrastructure specific to energy-focused workloads like smart grids, renewables, and trading platforms.
Job Responsibilities:
Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, operations, and business stakeholders.
Optimize AWS environments for performance, cost, and regulatory compliance within the Energy domain.
Ensure high standards of security and compliance based on best practices and industry standards.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in production and non-production environments.
Manage CI/CD pipelines and support containerized workloads using ECS, EKS, and Docker.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure designs and operational processes.
Required Skills:
5+ years of experience in AWS cloud engineering and architecture. Strong expertise in Terraform for IaC. Proficient in AWS services: VPC, EC2, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, etc. Experience in the Energy/Utilities sector with understanding of common data models and compliance workflows. Proficient in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline). Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or equivalent. Strong understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of cloud security and cost optimization best practices. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills:
AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer). Familiarity with energy standards like NERC CIP, IEC 61850, OpenADR. Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack). Exposure to hybrid or multi-cloud infrastructure environments. Certifications:
