Senior Software Developer
with a minimum of 6 years of hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications across the entire software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, possesses strong problem-solving abilities, and is capable of leading and mentoring a team of developers. This position requires full-time onsite work in Fort Meade, MD. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Software planning: defining project scope, goals, and timelines Requirements management: gathering, analyzing, and prioritizing stakeholder requirements Risk management: identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks and vulnerabilities Design: creating detailed design documents and prototypes Development: writing, testing, and refining code in various programming languages Architecture: designing and implementing software architectures, including microservices, monolithic, and event-driven architectures Modeling: creating conceptual, logical, and physical models of software systems Estimation: estimating effort, time, and resources required for software development tasks Documentation: ensure that all code written is properly documented, making it easier for other developers to understand, maintain, and modify the codebase Configuration management: controlling changes to software code, documentation, and other artifacts Quality assurance: ensuring software meets requirements, is reliable, and performs as expected Security: implementing secure coding practices, conducting vulnerability assessments, and ensuring compliance with security regulations and standards Testing: developing and executing unit tests, integration tests, system tests, and acceptance tests Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in software development Proficiency in Agile processes and procedures Proficiency with version control tools and technologies (e.g., Git, GitLab, JIRA) Hands-on experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++) US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance with an active Counter Intelligence (CI) Polygraph. This position is located in Fort Meade, MD. The estimated salary range for this position is $140,000.00 - $165,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.
