The Oncology Commercial Leadership Associate (OCLA) program offers you the chance to make a significant impact on AstraZeneca's portfolio pipeline. This hands-on role allows you to work across multiple commercial functions—Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Operations, Insights & Analytics, and Strategy—to improve our US commercial operations and deliver innovative solutions.
What You’ll Do: As an OCLA, you'll influence AstraZeneca's US Oncology Commercial strategies, leading opportunity assessments, channel leadership, messaging, and product launch/lifecycle planning. Your insights will help develop operational plans and support our customers with market access information, shaping future initiatives and patient journeys.
You will collaborate with our Commercial leadership team on data challenges, provide recommendations, and enhance Market Research, Access, Insight tools, and capabilities. Your work will be key in advancing oncology treatment and patient care.
Program Highlights: This two-year rotational program, with an optional third year, is designed to accelerate your career in healthcare management. You will gain valuable experience, build a broad network, and work on projects addressing key business challenges. We are committed to your growth, investing in your leadership, management, and mentorship skills to prepare you for an entrepreneurial career. Note: This role is not eligible for candidates requiring employer sponsorship for immigration now or in the future, nor for OPT.
Minimum Requirements: • MBA graduation between June 2025 and June 2026 • Proven academic excellence • 2-6 years of work experience pre-MBA • Experience in the healthcare sector • Willing to work onsite in Gaithersburg, MD • Excellent communication skills • Strong work ethic, leadership, and learning agility Preferred Qualifications: • Healthcare Specialty MBA • Pharmaceutical experience • Knowledge of market access landscape and secondary analysis proficiency • Familiarity with managed markets, sales data analysis, and customer targeting strategies • Strong analytical skills in problem-solving, forecasting, contracts, and financial modeling
