GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES : The Human Resources (HR) Director oversees all aspects of the HR function, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, compliance, payroll, and organizational development. This leadership role ensures the company attracts, develops, and retains top talent, fosters a positive work environment, and aligns HR strategies with overall business objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : The Human Resources (HR) Director develops and implements HR strategies, policies, and initiatives that support organizational goals, lead efforts to promote a diverse, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture, and partners with executive leadership to forecast HR needs and develop workforce planning strategies. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Oversee staffing strategies to attract qualified candidates across various levels and functions. Ensure effective onboarding programs to facilitate smooth integration of new employees. Employee Relations & Engagement: Foster a positive work environment through proactive communication, conflict resolution, and employee engagement initiatives. Address employee grievances and conduct investigations when necessary. Promote open communication channels and employee feedback mechanisms. ·

Performance Management & Development: Design and oversee performance appraisal systems and professional development programs. Support managers in coaching and leadership development efforts. Implement succession planning strategies for key roles. Develop equitable compensation structures and benefits programs to attract and retain talent. Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to compensation, benefits, and employee rights. Manage salary reviews, bonus schemes, and incentive programs. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure organizational compliance with employment laws, health and safety regulations, and labor standards. Maintain HR records and reports in accordance with privacy laws and company policies. HR Operations & Technology: Oversee HR information systems (HRIS) and related technology to streamline HR processes. Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity. Organizational Development & Change Management: Lead initiatives for organizational change, restructuring, and culture transformation. Support leadership in implementing strategic change initiatives. PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met. Physical activity includes walking, standing, bending, squatting, reaching above shoulders and lifting up to 40lbs. Must be able to drive an automobile for short and long distances. The candidate for this position may have to spend long hours using a computer, which can cause eye strain. This position will have to manage a number of requests and situations at one time. Stress may be caused by the need to complete tasks within tight deadlines. WORK ENVIRONMENT : Performs office activities in a lighted and ventilated area. May be subject to changes in temperature and exposure to dust. Will be exposed to uncontrolled environmental conditions during driving. Will work in a normally acceptable office environment, with no abnormal hazards or risks. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Travel between two manufacturing sites, Byram NJ and Fairfield. QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS : Effective decision-making and strategic planning skills. Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications: Word, excel, power point, share point. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work effectively with executive management and meet critical deadlines. Experience with compliance documentation and certification processes. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to lead change and influence at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills and cross functional communication . EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred. 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven experience in strategic HR planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, and compliance. Experience in aerospace and defense industry preferred. Ability to develop innovative HR solutions to business challenges. Strong analytical skills to interpret HR metrics and data.
