Risk & Mission Assurance Cybersecurity Consultant – OT/ICS Location:
Pentagon – 3 days remote / 2 onsite Clearance Requirement:
Active DoD Top Secret clearance (SCI eligible) We’re seeking a
mid-level Cybersecurity Consultant
with
3–5 years of experience
in risk assessment, mission assurance, and OT/ICS cybersecurity to support the
U.S. Armed Forces' Civil Engineer’s
cyber mission. In this role, you’ll lead efforts to map cyber vulnerabilities to mission-critical functions, conduct in-depth OT risk assessments, and drive mitigation planning—while aligning with NIST CSF, DoD guidance, and emerging AI-enabled risk analysis tools. Responsibilities
Lead mission mapping and OT system prioritization across military infrastructure Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments in ICS, SCADA, and other OT environments Deliver briefings, reports, and executive-level summaries on cyber risk and mitigation Facilitate stakeholder workshops to plan, prioritize, and track mitigation actions Ensure compliance with NIST CSF, DoD cyber policies, and mission assurance frameworks. Qualifications
3 – 5 years of experience with the following: NIST RMF and mission assurance strategy execution in DoD or civilian infrastructure OT/ICS cybersecurity (SCADA, Modbus, DNP3, OPC, etc.) Risk-based vulnerability mapping tied to mission impact Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement experience Cyber governance and policy compliance (DoDI 8500.01, AF guidance) Experience in AI/data analytics for vulnerability detection and prioritization Preferred Skills: Familiarity with MRT-C, FMA-C, and A3 tools (e.g., MARMS, Dagger, CRMT) eMASS and GRC system proficiency Supply chain risk integration and digital twin simulations Scripting for automation (Python, PowerShell) and dashboarding (Splunk, PowerBI) Progress toward certifications like CISSP, GICSP, or CISM Compensation: W2 Hourly rate: $64 - $69. Pay rates are based on experience, qualifications, location, and certifications, and are subject to change at any time.
