About the Role
We are seeking a talented SharePoint Solutions Expert to support a federal government customer. You will play a critical role in developing, administering, and enhancing SharePoint-based solutions that facilitate collaboration, automate workflows, manage content, and visualize data in alignment with agency operations, security, and compliance requirements. This position is hybrid remote, requiring occasional onsite work at the customer's location in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia (DMV) area. Note that this role is contingent on contract award.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain custom SharePoint sites, pages, web parts, and workflows tailored to program office requirements.
Support SharePoint Online (M365) and SharePoint 2016/2019 environments, ensuring cross-platform functionality and reliability.
Develop and manage Power Automate flows, Power Apps, and integrations with various business systems.
Administer SharePoint permissions, governance, and site provisioning in compliance with IT security policies.
Create dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI or SharePoint analytics tools to assist with operational decision-making.
Manage document libraries, metadata tagging, version control, and retention policies aligned with records management protocols.
Collaborate with program staff to gather requirements and develop wireframes/mockups that meet operational and security standards.
Conduct training and develop documentation to enhance user adoption and promote best practices in SharePoint usage.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance and configuration issues related to SharePoint.
Support the security posture of SharePoint by collaborating with ISSOs for STIG compliance and ATO documentation.
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in SharePoint Online or SharePoint Server 2019 environments, ideally within federal programs or DOD.
Expertise in SharePoint Online (O365 GCC High) and the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
Proficiency in creating custom lists/libraries, configuring metadata/taxonomy, and managing permission using RBAC.
Experience with advanced customization and automation through SPFx, JavaScript, and PowerShell.
Adept at developing workflow form processing and features that foster user collaboration.
Ability to integrate SharePoint with external systems via REST APIs and Microsoft Teams.
Familiarity with compliance requirements including FIPS 140-2 and multifactor authentication.
Previous experience with federal government agencies is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to pass federal background screening/security checks and obtain necessary clearances.
Education and Training
A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
Physical Requirements
Candidates must reside in the DMV area. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use are expected, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
Pay Range
The projected annual salary range is $80,000 to $113,000 USD, based on factors such as relevant experience, education, and skills.
