Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking compassionate and skilled Behavior Technicians to join our school-based team for the 2025-2026 academic year. This floater/fill-in position is ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy supporting a variety of students and classrooms throughout the day.
Location: Pasadena, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Approximately 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Pay Range: $22-$26/hour
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and classroom-based behavioral support to students with diverse needs
Assist with daily routines including classroom participation, grooming, meals, and toileting
Support student mobility and transitions throughout the school day
Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and promote student independence
Respond to behavioral challenges using evidence-based ABA strategies
Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
Accurately document services, incidents, and progress
Communicate regularly with the Amergis team to confirm schedules and updates
Adapt to changing assignments and school needs with flexibility and professionalism
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Associate's degree in behavioral studies or related field (preferred)
Experience working with children or students with behavioral needs
Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written)
Current CPR certification
Valid TB test (skin or chest X-ray)
Health clearance (if required by school or district)
Completion of Amergis onboarding and training process
