The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and a deep understanding of system administration, enterprise applications, configuration, integration, and application operations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Manages and prioritizes enhancement requests with multiple stakeholders, including project managers, developers, other internal business customers, and senior management. Partners with project managers to implement and execute project plans. Works closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and other team members to develop detailed specifications and ensure clear, timely project deliverables. Produce project estimates during SOW and requirements gathering phases. Supports the development, administration, and maintenance of the D4 MIS platform, and engages with customers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs, deliver business value, and deploy new capabilities to the MIS. This role requires strong technical skills and/or experience in system configuration and administration, with sole ownership of deploying to the production environment of the D4 MIS. Ensures operational readiness for deployment of system enhancements, new products, and process changes, and supports end-user training. Demonstrated experience in enterprise administration of an MIS, CRM, or ERP system. Manages all configuration and administrative functions, including object management, user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows, validation rules, data loading, third-party tools, and other routine tasks with strong SQL knowledge. Ensures the platform is enhanced and maintained to meet customer functional requirements and strategic business goals.Responsible for third-party managed packages like CPQ, CLM, etc. Able to evaluate and install new system releases/upgrades and perform system validations. Manage the selection and integration with third-party services. Serves as leader on project teams and ensures timely, regularly scheduled delivery of user improvements and nfigures and administers the MIS platform as required to support small, medium, and large projects, and applies technical knowledge and experience to envision and design creative solution options with product owners and developers. Identifies risks, dependencies, and issues and provides acceptable alternatives. Responds to customer issues and ensures they receive prompt, efficient service. Acts as a first line of support for complex production issues. Builds robust, well-designed, and effective systems that maximize performance and scalability, and that also meet current development, architecture, DevOps, CI/CD, and security processes and standards. Assists in the development and/or review of standards, best practices, and SOPs for the MIS. Lead design, architecture, development, and deployment of the MIS application. Recommends scalable technical solutions and designs for assigned projects. Create and execute quality assurance tests. Creates and defines broad, cross-functional MIS architecture that aligns with the enterprise architecture. Demonstrates architecture and design with effective documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and comments. Research, learn, and share new techniques for solving complex problems. Takes ownership in your own continuous learning and growth. Remain informed on emerging features and capabilities with the MIS vendor and identify opportunities to innovate. Develop and maintain clear technical architecture documentation, including conceptual designs, data models, process flows, and user stories. Author standards for the MIS system and ensure SOPs are followed. Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Comfortable operating within the Agile delivery methodology. Leads or participates in sprint planning and retrospective reviews, sharing feedback and lessons learned with team members and leadership, and ensures that feedback is incorporated into process improvements and team growth. Proficient working with database technologies including Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, Triggers, Tables, Indexes, and other Database Objects. Develops and maintains productive customer relationships. Work with various data formats, including JSON, XML, PDF, and flat or delimited files. Attend business and technical meetings as required. Mentor, coach, review, and provide support to other team members and developers. Performs other related duties as assigned and/or required. Other tasks as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Expert-level experience administering and configuring user access and permissions, reports, custom fields, workflow automation, field calculations and references, local and global settings, and system version upgrades. Familiarity with sales, service, production, inventory, and warehouse processes. 2-5+ years of experience in software development, 8+ years desirable 2-5+ years' experience integrating various software packages, such as Google Analytics, Adobe, or others. 2-5+ years' experience developing SQL and Crystal Reports. Deep understanding of and experience with RESTful API development and integration. Familiarity with Agile software development. Work within a sprint structure, contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives, attend daily standups, and use planning tools such as Azure DevOps. Experience working with TFS, Git, or Azure DevOps. Experience creating and using events, data, and logs to diagnose and solve production problems. Must reside within a commutable distance to Addison, IL. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Self-starter who takes ownership of tasks and has the ability to work independently or with a team. Well-versed in all facets of analytical and technical processes from requirements gathering through implementation. Strong problem-solving abilities and commitment to staying current with industry trends and technologies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team. EDUCATION& EXPERIENCE MS/MA in Computer Science or a related field with 2+ years of experience, or BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field with 5+ years of experience, 8+ years desirable 5+ years as a lead systems administrator supporting a critical enterprise system, with a strong preference for experience with manufacturing information systems (MIS). Consideration will also be given to experience with CRM or ERP systems. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position is based in a standard office environment. The role includes on-call responsibilities to resolve issues that may require work during weekends, evenings, or outside of standard office hours.
