Job Summary SHI is on the lookout for a visionary and experienced Lead Software Architect to spearhead the architecture and evolution of our eCommerce platform. This role is tailored for architects with extensive hands-on experience in designing, scaling, and optimizing complex eCommerce systems. You will shape our architectural vision, drive technical excellence, mentor engineers, and collaborate across teams to ensure our eCommerce platform remains robust, scalable, secure, and primed for growth. Role Responsibilities Architect & Design:

Oversee the complete architecture of SHI's eCommerce platform, ensuring it aligns with business goals and delivers an exceptional customer experience. Technical Leadership:

Establish and promote engineering standards, design patterns, and architectural best practices to enhance code quality, maintainability, and system resilience. eCommerce Expertise:

Utilize your knowledge in eCommerce solutions (such as shopping cart, payment systems, catalog management, search, and personalization) to guide system design and modernization efforts. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with product managers, senior engineers, security teams, DevOps, and stakeholders to turn business needs into technical strategies and impactful solutions. Mentorship & Influence:

Provide guidance to engineers and architects across teams, lead technical discussions, perform architectural reviews, and support their growth in architectural thinking. Strategy & Road Mapping:

Create and continuously update the architectural roadmap for the eCommerce platform, focusing on managing technical debt, driving innovation, and timely feature delivery. Continuous Improvement:

Recognize and implement new patterns, practices, and technologies to boost platform performance, developer productivity, and overall business agility. Documentation & Communication:

Develop and maintain comprehensive architecture documentation and technical standards, aimed at diverse audiences. DevOps & Cloud-Native:

Lead cloud adoption strategies, CI/CD practices, and ensure platform reliability and cost-effectiveness. Design Leadership:

Involve in the software design process based on functional requirements from product teams and internal stakeholders. Software Development:

Design, develop, implement, and deploy software solutions focusing on Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), troubleshooting, and resolving any software bugs as needed. Key Competencies Ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation. Proficiency in web application functionality, encompassing security practices and efficient software solutions. Experience in API design, development, and integration. Understanding of database design and management. Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices. Comprehensive knowledge of the SDLC processes. Qualifications We are looking for candidates with: A completed Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience in software development. 5+ years of expertise in DevOps methodologies. 5+ years of experience with C#, React, JavaScript, and SQL. Willingness to travel (up to 10%). Compensation The estimated annual pay range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000, inclusive of base salary and bonuses. Compensation is influenced by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
