About the Role:
As a Senior Application Engineer, you will be integral in creating control databases, user interfaces, and setting up control systems tailored to project specifications. You will also play a key role in field startup and system commissioning tasks, providing both on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers while mentoring team members in your area of expertise. Key Responsibilities: Develop programming logic utilizing flow diagrams and sequences of operation based on project specifications. Program control applications using various software tools for operator workstations, DDC field panels, and third-party integration. Conduct on-site and remote software installation and control program setup. Perform system checkout, commissioning, and testing to ensure compliance with project specifications. Create user interfaces according to project requirements. Provide technical support to installers and customers, acting as a liaison between the owner and construction managers. Deliver end-user training on the installed system. Carry out advanced system analysis and diagnostics for corrective actions. Coordinate installations with contractors on-site as necessary. Finalize project walkthroughs with clients to address punch-list items and ensure signoff of substantial completion. Submit weekly timesheets detailing hours spent on each project assignment. Mentor and guide Application Engineers while coordinating tasks within the team. What You'll Need: Bachelor's degree in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, Software Engineering, or 2+ years' relevant experience in Building Automation Controls, Sales, or Project Management. Minimum 2 years' experience in Building Automation Controls, Sales, or Project/Account Management. Expertise in at least three of the following: Niagara 4 Software, DGLux5 Software, Distech Controls Software, API Protocols, BACnet Protocol, Modbus Protocol, Lon Protocol, IT networking, commissioning, troubleshooting. Skills & Knowledge: Strong understanding of controls and HVAC systems. Proficiency with MS Office applications and knowledge of Google Drive. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on attention to detail. Willingness to mentor and develop colleagues. Working Conditions:
Work will primarily be conducted in a climate-controlled environment with occasional site visits that may involve hazardous conditions. Flexibility for overtime, including weekends or second/third shifts, may be required based on project needs. Travel may be necessary, up to 50% annually. Compensation:
The annual salary ranges from $100,000 to $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications, along with eligibility for discretionary bonuses. Locations:
