Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a platform engineer to take ownership of our Atlassian stack, which is hosted on AWS, and currently lacks backend monitoring. While the product side is well-supported, we need someone who can manage and maintain the backend infrastructure, lead internal projects, and build custom solutions. Projects may include enhancing the Confluence password regex scanner and developing integrations across Jira, Confluence, or both. The ideal candidate will have strong AWS proficiency, a solid understanding of the backend architecture of Atlassian tools, and the development skills needed to deliver scalable, effective solutions.
Compensation - $45.00/hr. to $55.00/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements
Required Certifications/Education:
BSc, in relevant field (Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar).
Min. 3 years of experience in a software development, DevOps or related role.
Professional experience with CI /CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, CircleCI or Bitbucket.
Professional experience with cloud deployment patterns. Specifically AWS cloud constructs, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
General knowledge of multiple languages and expert in-depth knowledge of at least one of: Golang, Java, Python, C, C++.
Strong software engineering and system design fundamentals.
Experience with all stages of SDLC.
Experience with SRE principles, as well as diagnosis, prevention, performance management, and availability of large distributed systems. MSc or PhD in relevant field (Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar).
Experience with Prometheus and Grafana, as well as knowledgeable about networking protocols (TCP, UDP, ICMP, ARP, DNS, TLS, HTTP, SSH, etc.)
Experience with the use of ML and/or agentic AI, especially in relation to facilitating the SDLC. null
