Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Data Analyst - Radiology.

The Sr. Data Analyst for the Department of Radiology supports department-wide data collection,

analysis, distribution, governance, and strategic data initiatives. This position is responsible

translating business and clinical questions into technical definitions to model and identify areas

of opportunity as well as conducting projects in line with the goals of the Department of

Radiology. The role involves curating and managing datasets, designing and maintaining data

pipelines, assisting in developing predictive analytics, creating reports and information

products, and visualizing data to present to departmental leadership

Job Responsibilities:

Extracts data from the medical centers data lakehouse via Azure Databricks in SQL or Python

Creates/maintains complex SQL codes and stored procedures that feed and refresh the data

models

Working with EPICs Clarity Data Model and other external datasets to translate business

needs into data requirements for data engineers to ingest new data

Conducts analysis by compiling data, ensuring data quality, analyzing data and presenting

results in numerical and graphic formats

Assists department leadership in conducting process analysis, problem identification and root

cause analysis, organization and environmental analysis and formulating recommendations for

improvement

Plays an active role in providing data for operational improvements

Provides analytic insights and creates dashboards with the use of Tableau/Tableau Prep for

end users to assist in decision-making and monitoring of performance.

Responsible for managing and improving existing datasets; developing data models for

predictive analytics, methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting data

Work with clinical, administrative and operational data, and responsible for analyzing and

presenting data; performing data analysis in support of ad-hoc and standing requests

Research new data sources and analytical tools/methodologies; contribute to new product

development and improvement in product delivery and presentation

Performs additional duties as assignede.

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree and 3-5 years of experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Public Health, Computer or Systems Engineering

or related field that further developed your expertise in the business of health and healthcare

3+ years of professional experience 2+ years of SQL programming experience Understanding of

enterprise data warehouse, subject-matter data marts, and complex data models. Prior

experience as a healthcare data analyst or business analyst working with clinical EHR (Epic

Clarity) data General understanding of hospital claims datasets, healthcare

departmental/clinical operations, workflow, policies, and procedures

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $67,771.14 - $101,124.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
