Are you thinking about advancing your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Cranbury, New Jersey location is looking for a new Warehouse Automation Manager to join our team.

You will be responsible for owning warehouse automation and management of complex operations, including those with hyper-automation systems. Reporting to the General Manager, you will have dotted-line control of site-based production systems and automation engineering.

How you create impact

You will be a part of the core implementation team to deliver a highly automated Goods-to-Person AS/RS

You will be the core leader of the site engineering team post go live

Provide front-facing representation for the company and customer

Coordinate site industrial engineering and automation engineering projects; synchronize the two functions for efficient singular output and productive operation

Work directly with the Continuous Improvement team for enhancements

Perform regular analysis of automation systems to assess overall health and performance

Work with local maintenance and vendors for the remediation of issues

Create, deliver, and train the site operations team on SOPs related to automation

You will have direct responsibility for the day-to-day health automation including coordination with 3rd party vendors

Create and present related internal and external reports

What we would like you to bring

Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

5+ years' experience as a Controls Engineer is preferred for heavily automated warehouses involving conveyors, Goods-to-

Person automation, AMRs, AGVs, ASRS, etc.

Sound application knowledge of automated material handling equipment such as HAI robotics, Goods-to-Person, AS/RS, pallet and case conveyors, sorters, AGVs, etc.

Solid understanding of the project life cycle for automated material handling systems

CAD software experience preferred

Advanced Microsoft Excel and/or Minitab and analytical skills with system diagnostics and continuous improvement

Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is a plus

PMP certification is a plus

Ability to multi-task and handle project tracking with the expectation of meeting deadlines
