Senior Software Engineer (Contract)

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Software Engineer where your expertise will shine! This exciting contract position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to critical technological advancements. In this role, you'll leverage your proven track record in delivering high-impact projects to drive innovation and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include: Building and enhancing backend systems including datastores, APIs, and event streams for our next-generation catalog and orders systems. Ensuring optimal performance and scalability of backend systems to manage increasing data and load. Collaborating closely with internal teams for seamless integration and iterative improvements based on feedback. Your ideal qualifications include: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience. Over 7 years of extensive experience in large-scale microservice application development, particularly with .NET Core, Docker, and Kubernetes in AWS. Proficient knowledge of messaging systems like Kafka and expertise in various datastore technologies (both RDBMS and NoSQL). Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Nice to have: Experience or interest in the gaming industry. Familiarity with eCommerce and high-volume transaction applications. Knowledge of GitHub Actions, Terraform, automated testing, and data sharding strategies.
