Overview:
GovCIO is seeking an experienced ETL Engineer or Data Scientist to become an invaluable member of our ETL Team. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining robust ETL pipelines and data infrastructure within AWS GovCloud environments. While the position is primarily remote, it is based in Hanover, MD. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain efficient ETL pipelines and data infrastructure within AWS GovCloud. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data processing, analysis, and visualization for optimized system performance. Utilize AWS services and open-source software to create scalable and high-performance data pipelines. Manage complex data flows and contribute to operational monitoring efforts. Develop solutions that extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources, including AWS S3, CloudWatch, and EventBridge. Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation for data pipeline management. Establish and manage CloudWatch alarms to proactively monitor system health. Deploy Fluent-bit agents for log aggregation and system monitoring. Create dashboards and alerts for data visualization to detect anomalies. Manage and maintain an OpenSearch cluster to support large-scale data ingestion. Instrument applications using OpenTelemetry for performance monitoring. Qualifications: High School Diploma with 9+ years of experience or professional experience in a related field. Top Secret clearance required. IAT Level II/III certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+(CE)). Proficient in AWS services such as Lambda, Kinesis, CloudWatch, S3, and CloudFormation. Strong programming skills in Python for data pipeline development. Experience with distributed NoSQL databases like OpenSearch or MongoDB. Familiarity with log aggregation tools and monitoring systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Company Overview:
