We are looking for a Lead Snowflake Platform Engineer to take charge of the administration, security, and cost optimization of our Snowflake environment within our enterprise data platform. What You'll Do: Governance & Security:
Manage user provisioning, RBAC, object-level access, and network policies. Implement SSO, MFA, and key-pair authentication. Ensure compliance through data masking, row-level security, and tagging policies. Cost Optimization:
Maintain resource monitors, auto-suspend/resume policies, and usage tracking. Collaborate with finance to develop cost attribution and chargeback models. Optimize warehouse sizing and query usage for performance and cost-effectiveness. Automation & DevOps:
Automate Snowflake deployments and permission management with Terraform and other IaC tools. Integrate Snowflake into CI/CD pipelines. Establish configuration standards across environments. Monitoring & Performance:
Use Snowflake's Account Usage schema to monitor health and integrate with observability platforms. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks at various levels through tuning and optimization efforts. Collaboration & Platform Evolution:
Act as the Snowflake subject matter expert, collaborating with engineering, InfoSec, DevOps, and data teams. Define naming conventions and tagging policies and work on implementing new Snowflake features. What You'll Bring:
You should have at least 7 years of experience in data platforms, with 3+ years administering Snowflake in a production setting. Expertise in account management, warehouse optimization, and cost governance is essential. You must understand RBAC, network security, and data protection standards. Experience with Terraform, infrastructure as code, and observability tools is highly valued. Preferred Skills:
SnowPro Core or Advanced certification, experience integrating Snowflake with tools like Alation and Power BI, familiarity with data modeling tools, and experience in regulated industries like healthcare or finance. Please Note:
This is a platform engineer role focused on infrastructure and security, not a BI Developer or Data Engineer role. Location:
Our offices are in Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Morristown, NJ; Plano, TX; St. Louis, MO; St. Petersburg, FL; and Hyderabad, India, fostering a hybrid and remote-friendly culture. Equal Employment Opportunity:
