Job Description
A Sr Hadoop developer is responsible for the design, development and operations of systems that store and manage large amounts of data. Write code for moderately to complex system designs, enhancing existing programs or developing new programs. Review code developed by IT Developers. Provide input to and drive programming standards. Write detailed technical specifications and identify integration points. Consult with other Sr IT Developers, Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, and Project Managers. Perform unit testing and debugging based on code specifications. Support transition of application throughout the Product Development life cycle. Research vendor products and conduct vendor product gap analysis.
Critical Information
Experience and understanding with unit testing and release procedures. Proficiency using versioning tools. High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions.
Education/Licenses Needed
Related Bachelor's degree or related work experience. 5+ years related work experience in the IT industry.
