At Interstate Waste Services, we pride ourselves on being a leading provider of solid waste and recycling services, primarily servicing Northern New Jersey, Southern New York State, and New York City, as well as recently expanded operations in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Our mission focuses on delivering top-quality waste and recycling services while ensuring the safety of our employees, customers, and the environment. Essential Job Functions: Safely operate front, side, or rear-loading trucks for the pick-up and transportation of waste or recyclables to designated disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities. Efficiently manage multiple trips throughout your shift while adhering to all safety regulations. Capable of frequently lifting up to 50 pounds and maneuvering heavier loads as required. Work with both manual and automatic trucks. Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the U.S. Possess a valid Class A or B CDL and airbrake endorsement. At least 1 year of CDL driving experience within the last 7 years. Maintain a great safety record with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Experience in the waste industry is highly preferred. Familiarity with DOT, OSHA, and applicable traffic regulations. Ability to communicate effectively in English and understand maps. Willingness to work variable hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed. Additional Information: Drivers will navigate through busy urban neighborhoods and deal with cramped spaces in city locations. Strong backing maneuver skills are essential for this position.
