As a Data Center Operations Technician, you will become a critical part of our Infrastructure Operations team, focusing on troubleshooting and resolving a variety of infrastructure issues, including hardware, fiber, and networking problems. Your expertise in IT principles will help maintain one of the world's largest information system infrastructures.
This role requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and demands a strong commitment to engagement in physical data center activities.
Lift and move materials weighing up to 49 pounds.
Work effectively in cramped and elevated locations.
Perform tasks involving bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
Stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8+ hours a day.
Safely navigate ladders, stairs, and gangways.
Work in a noisy environment and commit to shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations.
In this role, you will:
Take ownership of technical issues and collaborate with other teams for resolution.
Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Implement proactive issue detection to maintain service level agreements.
Act independently in the absence of direction.
Innovate processes to improve effectiveness.
The ideal candidate should possess:
A high school diploma or equivalent, or A+, CND, Network+, or Security+ certifications.
An active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
Preferred qualifications include certification experience such as A+, CND, Network+, or Security+ and familiarity with hardware platforms like Dell or HP. Previous experience in a Data Center environment is also advantageous.
