About this position:

LMCU is looking for a Senior Enterprise Data Steward who will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing data assets to ensure data quality, consistency, and security. This role is responsible for setting data standards, monitoring data usage, and ensuring that data management practices align with strategic business objectives. The role ensures that data is accurate and consistent, and collaborates with various departments to support data initiatives and promote best practices in data governance.

What you'll do:

Work closely with other data analysts and managers to ensure that data is uniform for internal and external users, promoting data consistency. Partner with Data Architects and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create and maintain data models for each data domain that is aligned across the enterprise, managing the data glossary for assigned domains. Work closely with the data management organization and key business units to develop increased data fluency within their processes and systems, fostering a culture of data-driven decisions. Develop and maintain a business glossary to ensure consistent terminology across the organization. Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the accuracy and completeness of critical data within the domain(s), driving continuous improvement. Implement data quality metrics to monitor and improve data accuracy and completeness. Define, design, and evolve the data governance framework and developing functional requirements for technology enablers. Create and manage a data catalog to provide a comprehensive inventory of data assets. Promotes data accuracy and adherence to best-in-class data management practices, ensuring that our member data is reliable and trustworthy. Establish and enforce data standards and data rules to ensure data consistency and quality. Lead and facilitate data design sessions, communicating effectively at various organizational levels to ensure alignment and adoption of data standards. Work closely with other data consumers to ensure that data is uniform for internal and external users. Coordinate with other data stewards, data engineers, BI Analysts within the Data Analytics organization to ensure consistent use of data definitions, authorized data sources, and calculations. Proactively identify the need for data standards based on our credit union's strategic business objectives, aligning data management practices with our goals. Collaborate with business and IT partners across business units to implement data standards, partnering with Data Owners to recommend Data Quality Rules and metrics. 5+ years of experience in data stewardship, data governance, or a related role. Bachelor's degree in data management, information systems, computer science, data science or a related field. Proficiency in data management software and tools, such as Atlan, Alation, Collibra, and Precisely Data Integrity Suite. Strong understanding of data management principles and best practices. Experience with data analysis, data governance, data quality, business data modeling, and/or reporting.
