Description
The 911 Dispatch Trainer is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and practical training to individuals preparing for careers in emergency communications. This role focuses on planning classes, presenting established curriculum, and incorporating supplemental content to ensure trainees gain the skills needed to succeed as professional dispatchers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Organize and schedule training sessions based on program curriculum and timelines using 911 Reality Pro-Comm Curriculum2.Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction using provided curriculum.3.Incorporate real-world examples, scenarios, and additional content to enhance learning.4.Facilitate role-playing and simulation exercises that mirror emergency call situations using 911 Reality Pro-Comm Simulators5.Evaluate trainee progress through quizzes, practice scenarios, and practical assessments and provide constructive feedback and coaching to support trainee success.6.Coordinate with other instructors to deliver a cohesive training schedule7.All other duties assigned by supervisor. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Significant professional experience or academic credentials SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Emergency Communication Expertise - In-depth knowledge of 911 dispatch procedures, including CAD systems, radio protocols, and emergency call handling. Instructional Delivery - Ability to effectively deliver structured curriculum and enhance it with real-world examples and simulations. Class Planning & Facilitation - Skilled in organizing class schedules, managing classroom dynamics, and engaging adult learners. Assessment & Coaching - Strong ability to evaluate trainee performance and provide supportive, actionable feedback.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office. Please provide three professional references. Personal references will not be contacted. Adjunct Faculty are eligible for the following benefits:
