VAST Data is looking for a top debugger and developer to join the V-Force team in RTP, NC! The V-Force team is at the forefront of addressing and debugging critical customer issues, implementing quick fixes, and developing enhancements for our clients. The team is part of R&D and not only works on customer escalations but also supports customer feature requests, POCs, and is key to sales enablement. This role requires a person who enjoys understanding complex customer issues and requirements. Requirements VAST is building the highest-performing file system in the world, which requires innovation at the Linux kernel level, enabling data access at unlimited bandwidth and low latency. We are forming a new team focused solely on Kernel development, collaborating with the upstream community, and setting new industry standards for fast file systems. Requirements System programming in C/C++ Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP) Python/Git experience is a plus Knowledge of block-level storage and file systems is an advantage BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent #J-18808-Ljbffr
