Our Consumer Instock Value (CIV) team, part of the Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) Group, is dedicated to improving systems that estimate the long-term effects of inventory availability and delivery speed at the product level. As a Data Scientist, you will collaborate closely with both technical and non-technical customers to deliver impactful solutions. Your insights will guide critical inventory management decisions that directly affect our customers' experiences. We are looking for someone who is eager to leverage their statistical and machine learning expertise to develop innovative technologies from the ground up. Key Responsibilities: Develop new statistical, causal, and machine learning models to drive innovation. Work with diverse teams to design model improvements and effectively communicate findings. Collaborate with our dedicated software engineering team to implement large-scale data analysis solutions. Gain a comprehensive understanding of key business metrics and provide analyses that influence strategic direction. Present research outcomes to internal stakeholders and contribute to our research community. Lead training sessions to share knowledge and enhance understanding of our scientific capabilities. Your contributions will be recognized across Amazon and will enrich our research archive and patent portfolio. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and scripting languages (e.g. Python). 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist. 3+ years of experience with machine learning and statistical modeling analysis tools. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in Python, Perl, or another scripting language. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,500/year to $212,800/year, based on various factors including location and experience.
