3003385 | Amazon Development Centre (India) Private Limited The AOP (Analytics Operations and Programs) team is seeking a talented and driven Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic Science Team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing core analytics and machine learning capabilities to optimize our operations globally. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Data Engineers, and other Data Scientists using rigorous quantitative methods to deliver high-quality data science products. Key Responsibilities: Leverage machine learning and analytical techniques to solve complex business problems and create scalable solutions. Analyze and extract relevant information from large datasets to automate and optimize key processes. Design, develop, evaluate, and implement innovative ML and Operations Research models. Collaborate with engineering teams for real-time model implementations. Work with Operations and Product partners to identify opportunities and propose machine learning solutions. Establish efficient automated processes for large-scale data analysis, model development, validation, and maintenance. Drive the implementation of large-scale complex ML models in production. Lead projects and mentor fellow scientists and engineers in the application of machine learning techniques. Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a data scientist. Proficiency in data scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab). Experience with statistical models, such as multinomial logistic regression. Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems (e.g., EMR, Spark, Elasticsearch, Hadoop, Pig, Hive). Strong collaboration skills with data engineers and business intelligence engineers. Expertise in a wide range of machine learning techniques. Preferred Qualifications: Leadership experience and a mentoring role on a data science team. Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science.
