Join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) team as a Senior Software Engineer focusing on the Elastic Block Store (EBS) and its Durability Engine. We are seeking experienced engineers to help shape the future of cloud computing. As part of the EBS team, you will be instrumental in developing and operating one of the world's largest distributed storage systems. Your role will involve collaborating with a talented group of engineers who are dedicated to building and maintaining critical components of EBS storage, ensuring high durability and performance. Your Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams within AWS to create a secure, reliable, and efficient system. Engage in hands-on development and architecture design, focusing on durability and storage solutions. Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews to foster a culture of growth and knowledge-sharing. Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of professional software development experience. Proficiency in at least one programming language. Experience mentoring others or leading engineering teams. 4+ years of experience in designing or architecting systems for reliability and scalability. 5+ years of professional experience writing C/C++ code. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of involvement in the full software development lifecycle. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
