We are seeking a talented Product Data Scientist to join our innovative team. In this pivotal role, you will: Collect, organize, interpret, and summarize statistical data to drive the design and development of Meta products. Utilize your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation to gain insights into user interactions with our products. Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to address challenges and uncover trends and opportunities. Support product decisions and launches with robust data analysis. Handle projects spanning product operations, exploratory analysis, influence, and data infrastructure. Analyze varied data sets to evaluate factors impacting our products. Employ informed judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques for solutions. Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following: PhD (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or related fields. Research or coursework experience in: Machine learning techniques Large data sets and network-based data (TCP or HTTP) ETL processes Relational databases (SQL or PL*SQL) Scripting in PHP, Python, or Perl Statistical analysis using R, MATLAB, Mathematica, ROOT, SPSS, SAS, or Stata Distributed data processing systems (Hadoop, Hive, MapReduce, LCG, MPI) Quantitative techniques such as clustering, regression, pattern recognition, descriptive and inferential statistics Strong ability to communicate and present data analysis results effectively. Compensation:
