Join Amazon's Modeling and Optimization Team (MOP) as a

Data Scientist specializing in Supply Chain Optimization . We are looking for a passionate candidate with exceptional analytical and optimization skills to help us design and enhance the most complex supply chain in the world. Our team focuses on optimizing Amazon's global supply chain, which involves efficient inbound goods management from sellers and vendors, transportation to fulfillment centers, and delivery to customers. This role presents a unique opportunity to directly impact the business while pushing the boundaries of science. You will be involved in diverse challenges, ranging from network design to inventory management, and will play a key role in supporting strategic decisions. Basic Qualifications: Master's degree in a quantitative field, or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science. 3+ years of experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, data analysis tools and techniques, along with a solid understanding of their performance parameters. 2+ years of experience with data querying languages such as SQL, Hadoop, or Hive. 2+ years in a data scientist or similar role involving data extraction, analysis, statistical modeling, and communication. Knowledge of Operations Research, including mixed-integer linear programming, stochastic programming, simulation, and experience with software like Xpress, CPLEX, or Gurobi. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Python, Perl, or other scripting languages. Experience in a machine learning or data scientist role within a large technology company.
