We are seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership and ensure the successful development and delivery of high-quality, reliable systems that meet both customer needs and business goals. Location: Northern California. The company will assist with relocation. Key Responsibilities: Lead cross-functional teams in defining system requirements, architecture, and functional decomposition. Apply systems engineering principles to develop cost-effective solutions with a focus on reliability, safety, and performance. Guide system integration and verification processes, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Champion the adoption of best practices in systems engineering, usability, and reliability. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, including experience with complex systems that combine software, hardware, and fluidic subsystems. Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive projects to completion. Strong understanding of risk management, system modeling, and customer-focused design. Preferred Experience: Experience in a regulated environment, including ISO and risk management standards. Familiarity with product development processes in the medical or biotech industries. Expertise in system integration, statistical methods, and human factors engineering.
