We are looking for a

Sr. Software Developer

with strong hands-on technical expertise to strengthen our engineering team. This role requires extensive

coding and architectural design skills

you will

design, develop, and deploy

scalable systems while collaborating with other team members.

This position is an on-site position in our Hunt Valley, MD office. Join us in building a

with ultra-low latency, making information accessible even in bandwidth-constrained environments.

, this role is for you! Key Responsibilities Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance systems (microservices, databases, APIs).

Conduct

code reviews, optimize performance, and enforce quality standards

.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code across various tiers of the system.

Build and maintain

RESTful APIs and microservices

.

Work with

SQL and NoSQL databases

for scalable data storage solutions.

Implement

security, authentication, and performance optimizations

.

Requirements A minimum of 8 years of professional experience building high performing distributed system is required.

The Ability to perform job functions on site (and full-time) is required.

The ability to attend in-person interviews is required.

The candidate must have proven and hands-on

experience in system architecture, microservices, databases, REST APIs

, and full-stack development using

Node.js, React, Postgres DB, TypeScript, JavaScript frameworks, and related technologies

.

Proficiency in

SQL (ex. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (ex. MongoDB, Redis)

databases.

Deep understanding of

RESTful APIs and API security best practices

.

Experience with

cloud platforms (

AWS is preferred

)

.

Experience with

event-driven architecture

.

Experience with

serverless computing

(AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).

Experience in

Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines

.

History of professional experience working in an Agile development environment.

Familiarity with broadcast infrastructure (airchains) is a plus.

Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication skillsable to

explain complex technical concepts

to other team members.

Ability to work on multiple projects/tasks effectively.

Education: A minimum of a B.S. in engineering or science is desired. Preferred fields include computer science, information technology, information systems, computer engineering, industrial engineering (with a focus on system design and analysis), applied mathematics, or applied physics.

While certifications are not mandatory, candidates holding one or more relevant certifications will be given preference.

The base salary compensation range for this role is $120,000 to $140,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
